George Lewis, 87, of Cohutta, passed away Saturday, April 7, 2012, at Hospice of Chattanooga Care Center.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Edith Sloan Lewis; and parents, Henry & Tenney Lewis.

Mr. Lewis was a veteran of the U.S. Navy during WWII and a member of Cohutta Masonic Lodge F&AM.

Survivors include a daughter, Krista Lewis of Morristown, Tenn.; son, Tony Lewis of Florida; sister and brother-in-law, Virginia and Chuck Bartels of Lakeland, Fla.; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

Burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
