Evelyn E. Daugherty, 88, of Merrillville, Ind., formerly of Granville, died Aug. 17, 2002, in Merrillville.
Services were at 11:30 a.m. Aug. 20 at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home in Scherrerville, Ind. Internment was at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens in Scherrerville.
Daugherty was born March 24, 1914, in Granville to Charles and Lulu Gunn. She married Frank Bouxsein in 1930. She later married Donald Daugherty in 1950. He died in 2000.
She is survived by a daughter Judi Schmidt of Hebron, Ill.; one son, Robert (Velma) Bouxsein of Florida; daughter-in-law Betty Bouxsein of Granville; 10 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
She also was preceded in death by one son, Kenneth; one grandson, David; sisters and one brother.
