Louise Helene Crowl Miller, 94, passed away Thursday, Oct. 17, 2013, at St. John's Hospice.

Louise was born Dec. 30, 1918, in Rochester, the daughter of Floyd and Leona Workman Crowl. She married John M. Miller on June 20, 1943, at her parent's home; he preceded her in death on May 18, 2006.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, and grandson, Andrew Miller.

She had worked as a bookkeeper for John Bressmer Company, retired after 30 years as a cook for Rochester Schools and worked in the home healthcare field. She was also a homemaker at the family farm. She was a member of Rochester United Methodist Church, Moreland Rebekah Lodge for 75 years, Rochester Historical Society, University of Illinois Home Extension and the Farm Bureau. Louise also enjoyed gardening, bird watching and sewing.

She is survived by three daughters: Clarissa , Rosanne and Janet; one son, David Paul ; brother, William Crowl; 9 grandchildren:; 5 great-grandchildren.

Burial will follow at Brunk Cemetery.
