Betty was Born Jan. 29, 1931 in Elizabeth, the daughter of August and Stella Haug Beyer. She was a graduate of Stockton High School. She and Kenneth Hill were united in marriage on Oct. 2, 1950; he preceded her in death. For many years, Betty worked for Freeport Memorial Hospital. She was an active member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Freeport involved in the Fidelis Circle. She was a former member of the ABWA.
Surviving are children, Deborah Hartman of Rockford, Cathy Selph of Savanna, GA, Kim (Kathy) Hill of Fayette, NC, Tammy Hill of Sacramento, CA, Michelle Hill of Sacramento, CA, Cindy Hill of Freeport; seven grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; four sisters, Darlene (Walt) Steffes of Stockton, Barbara Jansen of Iowa, Lorraine Swalve of Forreston, Linda Lord of Lodi, WI; two brothers, LaVerne Beyer of Stockton, Kenneth (Rose) Beyer of Lodi, WI.
Preceding her in death were her parents; husband; son, Kenneth; one brother and one sister.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 11 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Freeport with Rev. Dr. Willis Schwichtenberg officiating. Cremation rites have been accorded and entombment will be at the Oakland Cemetery and Mausoleum.
In Lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in her name.
