Mrs. Ruthie Westbrooks Kernodle 70 of Rt 1 died Wednesday at NC Memorial Hospital. Funeral will be 4:30 pm Friday at Bethlehem United Church of Christ where she was a member with the Rev Ralph Bowman and the Rev Albert Taylor officiating. Burial will be at the church. She was a native of Caswell County. Surviving are sons Howard Kernodle of Rt 2 Elon College, Richard Kernodle of Rt 2 Burlington, Robert Kernodle of Rt 1 Gibsonville, Junie Kernodle of Rt 1 Reidsville, daughters Mrs. Mary Ward of Rt 5 Mebane, Mrs. Polly Ann Robinson of Gastonia, Mrs. Louise Mansfield of Rt 2 Elon College, Mrs. Sally Barbee of Rt 1 Mebane, Mrs. Mildred Gwynn of Rt 1 Gibsonville, Mrs. Almeria Mitchell of Burlington, brothers John Westbrooks of Burlington Robert Westbrooks of Yanceyville, Thomas Westbrooks of Hills borough, George Wallace Westbrooks of Rt 1 Reidsville, Sammy Westbrooks of Roxboro sisters Mrs. Lucy May Ashby of Burlington Mrs. Iola Jordan of Bonlee, Mrs. Mammie Phillips of Gibsonville 34 grandchildren 26 great grandchildren.
