She was born on Dec. 3, 1924, in Harlingen. She married Alonzo Cantu Sr. in 1944 in Harlingen. He died on April 2, 1985.
She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church. She moved to Lubbock in 1948 from Harlingen. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include seven sons, Mike, Alonzo, Johnny, Rudy and Ramon, all of Lubbock, Arnulfo of Austin, and Natividad of Harlingen; four daughters, Connie Ramirez and Teresa Rebele, both of Lubbock, Hortensia Deaver of Christoval, and Adela Garcia of Wolfforth; a sister, Andrea Moreno of Harlingen; 34 grandchildren; and 54 great-grandchildren.
