LIFE-LONG RESIDENT COLLAPSED WHILE LISTENING TO RADIO PROGRAM - WELL KNOWN IN CITY -- Fred B. Jacobs, 51, life-long resident of Titusville, died suddenly at 11 p.m. Saturday, at his home, 718 W. Spring street, following an acute heart attack at about 9 p.m. Although Mr. Jacobs had suffered two previous attacks from which he soon recovered, it was believed that indigestion was the cause, but when a physician was called Saturday evening, he diagnosed the ailment as heart trouble. Mr. Jacobs did not recover consciousness.

The deceased was son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Jacobs and was born in Titusville May 26, 1887. He spent his entire life in Titusville, had been employed in various shops, and for a number of years worked in his fathers restaurant on South Franklin street. During the past year or more he had been employed in the city street department.

On October 30, 1919, Mr. Jacobs was married to Miss Hazel Matthews, who survives him, with a son, David, and four brothers, his twin, Frank, of this city, Albert of Corry, Harry of Erie and Edward Jacobs of Titusville. The following half-brothers and sisters also survive: Mrs. Catherine Perrette and Mrs. Windsor Dalrymple of Titusville, Mrs. Harry B. Smith of Meadville, Mrs. Carrie Stanford of Scranton, John Wagner of Erie, George Wagner of Mystic Park and Fred Wagner of Corry. there are several nieces and nephews.

The body was prepared at the Paul Kerr funeral home and returned to the family residence, yesterday, where services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, with Rev. Norris A. White of the First M.E. church, officiating. Interment will be in the Sunville cemetery.
