Olga Smalman, Longtime Troy Resident, Dies
Spokane -- Mrs. Olga C. Smalman, 82, a longtime Troy, Idaho, resident, died Wednesday at St. Luke's Hospital, here.
A member of the Troy Lutheran Church, Mrs. Smalman had lived at Troy for 70 years. She was born at Troy Aug. 30, 1890, the daughter of Henry and Mary Oslund.
On July 1, 1920, she married Iver Smalman at Coeur d'Alene. He died Feb. 7, 1962.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Violet Moffit, Spokane; two brothers, Alvin Oslund, Lewiston, and Elmer Oslund, Moscow; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Short's Chapel, Moscow, with the Rev. Curtis Fox of the Emmanuel Lutheran Church officiating.
Burial will be at Dry Creek Cemetery.
The family suggests memorials to the Troy Lutheran Church.
