CHANNEL - At the family residence in Riverton, Wednesday, May 24, at 7:20 a.m. Mrs. Ada B. Channel, wife of Martin Channel, aged 16 years 8 months and 5 days.
The deceased was born and reared in Riverton, and was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Hood, who with four sisters and one brother survive.
The sisters are: Mrs. Charles Curl, of Springfield; Mrs. A. Phillips, of Sullivan; Mrs. W. Dickerson, of Riverton; and Miss Ollie Hood, of Riverton and L. Hood, of Riverton. She is also survived by an infant child which, taken with her extreme young age, make it a cruel blow for the husband and members of the family.
The funeral occurred from the Methodist church in Riverton.
The interment was in Oak Hill cemetery.
