FOLLOWING STROKE PARALYSIS

William J. Vandeventer, Aged Seventy-Nine Years, Passes After Short Illness

William Vandeventer died Sunday night at his home in the vincinity of the Wildcat School, northeast of Bloomfield. He was seventy-nine years of age.

Mr. Vandeventer sustained a stroke of paralysis one day last week. He had made his home in Greene County, where he engaged in farming for the last forty years. He came to this county from Kentucky, where he was born.

He is survived by his wife, and a daughter, Mrs. Emerson Calvert of Bloomington, and two sons.

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon from the family residence. Internment in Grandview cemetery. Geo. E. Kidd, funeral director had charge of the funeral arrangements.

I William J. Vandeventer of Greene County, in the state of Indiana, being at this time of sound and disposing mind and memory do hereby make this my last will and testament and do hereby revoke any and all wills and testaments heretofore by me made.

Item 1 I give, devise and bequest to my wife Laura Ellen Vandeventer, all my property, real, personal and mixed of every kind and description to have and to hold for and during her natural life.

Item 2 At the death of my wife, I give and bequeath to my daughter Ruth Calvert the sum of $100.00, and after the payment of above sum to my said daughter, I give and bequeath tomy children namely; Ruth Calvert, Edgar Vandeventer, Isaac Vandeventer and Nellie Padgett all the residue of my estate in fee simple and absolute in equal share.

Item 3 I hereby appoint my wife executrix of this will.

In testimony whereof I hereunto set my hand this 5th day of October 1921.
