Carl Frazier, 78, of Upton Road, Portsmouth, died Sunday, March 26, 1995, at Southern Ohio Medical Center.
Born Feb. 8, 1917 in Beachie, Ky., a son of the late Charles Frazier and Emma Nunley Robertson, he was a retired railroad engineer with Norfolk and Western Railway Company and a member of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Firemen and Engineers.
Surviving are his wife, Wilma Adkins Frazier, whom he married July 3, 1937, in Greenup, Ky.; four sons, Roger Frazier of Franklin Furnace, Michael Frazier and Jeffrey Frazier, both of Wheelersburg, and Larry Frazier of Virginia Beach, Va.; three daughters, Sharon Hodge of Chillicothe, Pamula Jackson of Portsmouth and Jill Newton of Fort Worth, Texas; a sister, Pearl Oldaker of Port Richie, Fla.; 15 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
He also was preceded in death by a son, Charles "Chuck" Frazier; and two sisters, Mary Cornwell and Nova Swords.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Pennington-Bishop Funeral Home in New Boston, with the Rev. Sidney Snyder officiating, and interment in Universal Cemetery in Rubyville.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and for one hour before the services Wednesday.
