Five Funerals Held at Sharon in Two Days, Large Number of Deaths Throughout
the County.
On Monday night Mrs. Jesse Bates breathed her last. She had been ill of la grippe and heart trouble. Mrs. Bates was about forty-five years of age. She is survived by her husband and several brothers. Mrs. Bates died at the home of her parents, both of
whom were confined to their beds with la grippe, she being taken ill while there waiting upon them. She was buried Tuesday at Woodlawn cemetery, following services at the M. E. church by Brother Pritchard.
