Mrs. N. N. Jones of Normal died at Chicago at 6:00 o'clock yesterday morning after a long and painful illness. Mrs. Jones was born near Centerville, Ind., October 20, 1822.
She was married March 31, 1838 and became the mother of twelve children, eight of whom with ten grandchildren survive her. The children living are Charles J., John H., Norman C., Henry C., Mrs. Jennie Clayton, Ida A. (Ilde Orme), Mrs. Nettie Reeves and Mrs. Katie Jones Bedinger.
Mrs. Jones came to Hudson township with her husband in the early '40s and resided on the farm now occupied by Mr. Scott Trimmer for twenty-five or thirty years.
