Lockett C. Nunn, 88, of Evansville, died Wednesday of cancer.
He was born in Webster County, Kentucky, but moved to Evansville at age 9, where he attended Rheinlander and Kasson Elementary schools and Central High School.
At 19, he and his father, Charles and siblings started Nunn Milling Co. He retired as president of the family-owned business in 1983.
For 20 years, he served as a director for the Salvation Army.
Surviving are his wife of 53 years, the former Alberta Baughn; a son, Leslie; two sisters, Aline Renner and Rebecca Crouch; a son-in-law, Robert C. Schmitt; and grandchildren, Lynn, Brooke, Charles, Laura, Sarah, John and Susannah.
His daughter, Carol Sue Nunn Schmitt, died in 1986.
