Mr. Ahlberg was born in Morrisonville on December 21, 1917, a son of Gustaf and Magdaline Regina (Grauer) Ahlberg. He married Irma Ruth Fleming in Hannibal Missouri on October 6, 1941. He was retired from Peabody Coal Mie # 10. He was a vveteran of World War II and a member of the Assembly of God Church and the UMWA.
Suvivors include his wife Irma Ruth, Taylorville, a son Jack and wife Connie Ahlberg of Watkisville, Georgia; a daughter Brenda and husband Phil Henning of Taylorville; one sister Mrs. Dorothy VanHooser of Taylorville, several grandchildre and grea- grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, one son Skipper Ahlberg and a sister Esther Esser.
Funeral services were hed on March 28 at the Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville. Rev. Dean Rose will officiate. Visitation was held on March 27 from 5 to 8 at the funeral home. Burial was made at Thomas Anderson Cemetery at Palmer
