Albert Fisher was born in Indiana during his parent's attempted move to the Midwest. Due to his father's poor health in the climate, the family moved back to Addison County, Vermont where Albert spent the remainder of his life. Albert farmed on both sides of Otter Creek in Middlebury (today Creek Rd. and Morse Rd.), taking over his father's farm after his death. Albert was married to Jennie Ionia Marshall of Poultney in 1897. The couple had two children prior to Jennie's death in 1906, Irene Maie Fisher (b. 1898, wife of James J. Garrah of Albany, NY) and Francis Albert Fisher (b. 1902). In 1908 Albert married Mary Rogers. Albert was killed while working with two other men to erect a silo on the neighboring Seeley farm. The staging suddenly broke, and he fell 30 feet onto the cement floor of the silo. Albert Fisher was a member of the I.O.O.F.
