June Brolin Johnson, 75 of Traverse City passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 9, 2013 at Birchwood Tendercare in Traverse City.

June was born on June 6, 1938 in Chicago, IL to the late Lars Eric and Marta (Olsson) Brolin of Sweden.

June was proud of her Swedish Heritage and a member of the Traverse Area Scandinavian Society. She was a loved Asst. Librarian and Teachers Aide to many Traverse City School Children. Everywhere she went she was known and greeted with much love and affection.

She lived for her children. As far as her children are concerned, the following quote say's it all, "The Queen may be in distressed circumstances , but she remains the Queen".

Surviving June are her children, Jil Johnson (Ron Flaska) of Traverse City, Jana (Doug Kinan) Johnson of Boston Mass, Jeff (Kristin) Johnson of Whitefish Bay WI, grandchildren, Gus Flaska, Grace Kinan, Luke, Cade and Jakob Johnson.

A memorial gathering will be held for June at the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home on Wednesday Oct 16th from 6 until 8 PM with a prayer service at 7:30 pm. Pastor David Gabel will officiate. June will be interred next to her parents in Hainesville Scandinavian Lutheran Cemetery in Sturgeon Bay, WI.
