Our dear mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend, Eileen Bingham Underwood passed away Thursday, October 10, 2013 surrounded by her loving family. Eileen was born October 13, 1920 in Wilson, UT to Edwin and Aldous Bingham and Martha Victoria Erikson. Eileen grew up on a farm she loved in Wilson where she learned how to work hard thinning beets, harvesting potatoes, etc. She graduated from Weber High School in 1938, and first worked at Utah Oil as a personal secretary. She excelled at short-hand and typing, and was always a great asset wherever she worked. Eileen married her sweetheart, Walter Lewis Underwood of Ogden, UT on March 31, 1945 in San Antonio, TX while Walt was serving in the military. They then moved to Ogden, UT where they lived a short while before moving to their home of over 50 years in North Ogden, UT. During this time they welcomed two wonderful, beautiful daughters into their family who were the light of their lives. Eileen enjoyed spending time with her sweetheart husband and all of her family who adored her. She loved crossword puzzles, working in her beautiful flower beds and yard and was a wonderful cook. Eileen also loved going camping and taking trips, especially to Las Vegas and Florida.

Eileen is survived by 2 sisters, Virginia Singleton of Providence, UT and Phyllis Denkers of Salt Lake City, UT, her two daughters, Tamara L. Fochtman (Harry) and Paula K. Love (Ed), nine grandchildren, Jamie R. Fochtman (Heather), Troy L. Fochtman (Kristina), Shawn M. Fochtman (Kim), Julie E. Smith (Mike), Jill E. Ramage (Thomas), Lindy M. Fowles (Heather Brown), Jordan D. Fowles (Erin), Dawn Love, and Eric Love, as well as 24 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Bernice Thompson and Ruth Shulz, as well as two brothers, Wayne Bingham and Glen Bingham.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 15, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at Myers Mortuary of Ogden, located at 845 Washington Blvd. The family will greet friends at the mortuary Monday, October 14, 2013 from 6 to 8 p.m. and from 11:45 to 12:45 p.m. prior to the service. Interment at the Ben Lomond Cemetery, North Ogden, Utah.
