Mr Biddix is survived by his wife, Edith Young Biddix of the home; one daughter, Joyce Ann Rumfelt of Marion; one sister, Devada McKinney of Marion; two brothers, Dallas and Ada H. Biddix, both of Marion; two grandchildren, Walter Rumfelt of Shelby and Mitchell Rumfelt of Marion; a number of nieces and nephews.
The funeral services were held on Sunday, May 11, 2003, at 3:00pm at Westmoreland Funeral Home Chapel. The Revs Roger Hayley and Eddie Kirkpatrick officiated. The family received friends one hour prior to the service at the Chapel. Interment was in the Biddix Cemetery. The US Navy provided Military Honors. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of McDowell Countyl 218 Logan Street Marion or Hospice of Rutherford Co. PO Box 336 Forst City, NC 28043.
