Adolph Henry Naiman, son of Mr. and Mrs. Fredrich Naiman, was born on August 9, 1895, on a farm southwest of Gilead. He passed away at the Hebron Memorial Hospital on last Sunday morning, December 18, 1955, at the age of 60 years, 4 months and 9 days. He was baptized in infancy in Trinity Lutheran church of Gilead, Nebr., at the age of six years he moved with his parents to Wa-Keeney (sic), Kas. There he was confirmed on Apr. 9, 1911 in Bethlehem Lutheran Church. At the age of 16 he came back to the Gilead vicinity and lived with his uncle Adolph Schainost.
On Feb. 20, 1918, he was united in marriage to Miss Christena Siebenneicher. A daughter Gladys, was born to this union. She preceeded him in death on March 28, 1935, at the age of 15.
Those who mourn his departure are his beloved wife, Christina (sic); four brothers, Fred of Kimbel (sic), Nebr.; Walter of Winona, Ks., Frank of Wakenney (sic), Kas.; and Ernest of Leota (sic), Kansas; also three sisters, Anna Wassermiller, Gorham, Kas.; Francis Loe, Modesta (sic), Calif.; and Alvina Mewschaefer, Withita (sic), Kas.; a sister-in-law, Viola Naiman, from Hill City, Kas. His parents, 4 brothers and 2 sisters preceded him in death.
Mr. and Mrs. Naiman lived in the Gilead vicinity for several years; also in Fairbury for a time then moved to their present home, the city of Hebron.
Following his return to this vicinity, Mr. Naiman joined the Trinity Lutheran Church, Gladstone, of which he remained a faithful member until his death.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, Dec. 21, from the Montgomery Mortuary, Hebron, and Trinity Lutheran Church, Gladstone. The pastor of the church, the Rev. A. P. Bruenger officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery.
