Le Roy, Sept 17 - At about 8 o'clock last evening occurred the death of George Fonda of Bright's disease. He bad been in feeble health for some time past but did not give up his duties at the Ball grocery until about a week ago. He leaves a wife and one daughter, also a mother and several brothers and sisters, to mourn his loss. Mr. Fonda had for many years been connected with the different grocery stores and had a large circle of friends. His age was 38 years. Batavia NY Daily News, Septemer 17, 1889.
