Rev. Jeff Thomas was the son of William Thomas and Sarah
(Good) Thomas. He was an ordained Free Will Baptist minister who was active in
his ministry, his name appearing in old Cooperative General Association Minutes,
when it convened in 1918 in Paintsville, KY. He married Sarah E. (unk) Thomas
and they raised several children (see her obit).

His death certificate is in error re: his father. His father was James A Thomas, born in Franklin Co, Va, as was his mother, Sarah Goode. 1870 and 1880 censuses confirm this fact.
