James Escar Collum Succumbs
Services for James Escar Collum, 56, route 3 Maud, will be held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday in the First Baptist church at Maud. He died Sunday afternoon.
Born in Mississippi in 1894, Collum moved to Maud in 1915 and had lived here ever since.
Surviving relatives, besides his wife, Mrs. Mildred Collum, include his mother, Mrs. Hary Ann Collum of the home; four sons, W. E., J. C., and Vernon, all of Hobbs, N. M., and Edward, serving in the navy, six daughters, Wanda June, Beverly Ann and Patsy Joe of the home, Mrs. W. B. Bunch, Corsicana, Texas, Mrs. J. W. Scott, Tecumseh and Mrs. Gene Northcutt, Hobbs, three brothers, Oscar, Odessa, Texas., D. m. Marshall, Texas, and George, Bartlesville, and two grandsons.
