Year of birth???: Catherine's year of birth is not known, and as the family is missing in the 1880 census, 1871 is just an educated guess. According to the age she gave in different records, she should have been born in 1872. (Her death certificate reads 1873.) But her brother Willis claimed to have been born in January of 1873 (and his father confirmed this in his marriage consent note), so there's no way Catherine could have been born in May of 1872 or 73. (There is a birth record for Willis that reads he was born in 1874, but every other record, without exception, reads he was born in 73.)
