1958 - 2013 ADAMS Mrs. Donna (Hilchey) Marcil, 54, of 182 East Rd., Adams, passed into the arms of her loving Savior on January 30, 2013, surrounded by her loving family after a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born in Bennington, Vt., on October 25, 1958, daughter of Monica (Ayers) Hilchey Russo and the late Walter Hilchey. She attended schools in North Adams and graduated from Drury High School with the class of 1977. She had also attended Mildred Elley in Pittsfield for Massage Therapy. Mrs. Marcil worked as a Pharmacy Technician for Walmart in Pittsfield for many years until retiring. She was a member of the First Bible Baptist Church, North Adams. She was a member of the Adams Turners and enjoyed playing pitch, laughing and spending time with her family.
Her husband, Robert Marcil, whom she married on August 1, 1997, died on March 10, 2005.
She is survived by her mother Monica Hilchey Russo and her husband Albert of Lenox; one son Gavin Mahar of North Adams; three brothers, David Hilchey and Pat Albareda of Adams, Charles Hilchey and his wife Gayle of Demopolis, AL and Scott Hilchey and his wife Paula of Cheshire; three sisters, Ellen Johnson and her husband Daniel of Melbourne, FL, and JoAnn Long and Kim Ross, both of Frederick, MD, and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
She was predeceased by a brother, William Hilchey.
FUNERAL NOTICE: A Celebration of Donna's life will be celebrated on Wednesday, February 6, at 11:00 AM in the First Bible Baptist Church, Notch Road, North Adams. Burial will be at a later date at the convenience of the family. Calling hours are Tuesday from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at the PACIOREK FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St., Adams.
