Ada M. McCleery Ferree, 89, of Bridgeville, died Monday, October 7, 2013.

She was born June 7, 1924, in West Alexander, a daughter of Thomas and Myrtle Campsey McCleery.

Mrs. Ferree was a graduate of Westminster College and earned her master's degree from the University of Pittsburgh.

She served as a librarian for Bridgeville Public Library for many years and volunteered for the genealogy department of Citizens Library in Washington.

Mrs. Ferree was a longtime member of Bethany Presbyterian Church, where she sang in the choir.

On June 21, 1952, she married Gus Ferree, who died in 1987.

Surviving are two daughters, Sally (Mark) Marra and Ellen (Frank) Zissis; six grandsons of whom she was a proud "Nana," Robert, Christopher, Jesse and Timothy Marra and Tanner and Hayden Zissis; and many nieces and nephews.

Deceased is a brother, Robert (Betty) McCleery.

Friends will be received from 3 to 8 p.m. Thursday in Warchol Funeral Home Inc., 3060 Washington Pike, Bridgeville, 412-221-3333. Additional visitation will be held from 9:30 to 10:15 a.m. Friday, October 11, followed by services at 10:30 a.m. in Bethany Presbyterian Church, Bridgeville, with the Rev. John Hamilton officiating. Everyone is asked to please meet at the church. Interment will follow in West Alexander Cemetery.
