Auka (Tjaden) Weller was born in Remsen, Iowa on April 20, 1889, to parents Johannes and Ockje (Schloerholtz) Tjaden. After the death of her parents in 1895, she and her siblings came to Breda, Iowa and lived with aunts and uncles there.
She married Henry Weller on December 28, 1908 in Sac City, Iowa. They were divorced. in 1932.
Auka passed away January 15, 1973. Private services were held Friday, January 12, 1973. Interment was made in Holy Cross Cemetery, Milwaukee, WI.
She is survived by her four sons: Melvin (Verna), Marvin (Eleanor), Warren (Lorraine) and Edwin (Gertrude); sister Tieska (Mrs. Julius) Andersen of Arcadia, IA & brother, Jacob Tjaden of Wall Lake, IA.; nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one sister, Oggie Fritz of Colorado and three brothers: John, Eilert (Ike) and Peter Tjaden.
