Daughter of William Almeron Terry and Esther Amelia Ball his wife. Granddaughter of Samuel Steele Terry and Mary Stoughton his wife. Amzi Ball and Hannah Royce his wife.

Gr. granddaughter of Shem Stoughton and Flora Gillette his wife; Elijah Royce and Emelia Johnson his wife. Elijah Royce, 1756 - 1834, enlisted 1775 was in many battles, wounded at Monmouth and served under Lafayette at Yorktown. He was placed on the invalid pension roll of New Haven county, 1794. He was born in Wallingford, died in Wolcott, Conn.

Also, No. 19680 Shem Stoughton, 1757 - 1837, served in the campaign, 1776, and his letter from New York, now published, tells of the intrenched troops before the enemy. He was placed on the pension roll of Hartford county, 1831, for service of private in the Connecticut Continental Line.
