Debra Heginger, age 46, of Belmond, passed away Tuesday October 8, 2013 in Belmond.

Funeral services for Debra Heginger will be held at 10:30 A.M. Saturday October 12, 2013 at the Dugger Funeral Home, 111 Luick's Lane South, in Belmond, Iowa. Pastor Cindy Morrison will officiate. Burial will take place in the Belmond Cemetery.

Visitation for Debra Heginger will be held from 5:00 – 7:00 P.M. Friday October 11, 2013, at the Dugger Funeral Home in Belmond and will continue one hour prior to services on Saturday.

Debra Lynn, the daughter of Lyle and Carol Sue Schmidt Heginger was born September 30, 1967 in Belmond. She grew up in Belmond, and attended school. Debra graduated from Belmond High School in 1986. After high school, Debra lived for a time in California, where she helped a friend with a truck driving business. Debra returned to Belmond in 2009. She was a devoted daughter and care-taker for her parents. After her dad, Lyle, entered the Rehabilitation Center in Belmond, Debra became a helper and companion to her mother, Carol Sue.

After returning to Belmond in 2009, Debra worked for the Pizza Ranch. She like to garden and take care of her cats. Debra took care of Lyle's raspberry bushes every bit as well as he could. Debra was sweet, fun and loving person to all who were lucky enough to have befriended her.

Debra is survived by her parents, Lyle and Carol Sue, of Belmond, sisters, Lisa Nine (Chuck) of Eagle Grove, Lori Tynan (Steve) of Mason City, Jeanne Altman (Jamie) of Algona, brother, Jeff of Fort Dodge, and numerous other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents.
