"Mabel Lelm, 99, Ada, Minnesota, died Tuesday, October 8, 2013, at The Stadter Center, Grand Forks, ND.
Mabel was born August 27, 1914, to Gust and Elizabeth (Sprung) Anderson on the family farm, rural Ada. She attended country school in Winchester Township, Norman County. She also attended high school in Ada. She was united in marriage to Elmer Lelm on February 7, 1938. They owned and operated the family farm side by side for many years and also maintained a Grade A dairy herd. Mabel always raised a productive vegetable garden and did lots of canning for the family. They retired and moved to Ada in 1978. Elmer died in January 1984. She was a lifelong active member of Grace Lutheran Church in Ada.
Mabel is survived by one son, Larry (Dorella) Lelm, Ada, one daughter, Sylvia Holte, Hendrum, MN, seven grandchildren; Brenda (Dean) Lawrence, Becky (Colby) Robinson, Brian (Shannon) Holte, Beth (Travis) Lee, Charmaine (Bart) Whitman, Crystal (Jon) Archer, Justin (Danielle) Lelm, five great grandchildren; Robert, Mason, Logan, Kaitlyn, and Keely Grace, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Elmer, son-in-law, Donald Holte, two brothers; infant Norval and Norman Anderson, and five sisters; Ella Salvevold, Ruth Hoven, Florence Stehr, Grace Roesch, and Margaret Visser.
Funeral: 2:00PM, Monday, October 14, 2013, at Grace Lutheran Church, Ada, MN.
Visitation: Sunday from 5PM to 7PM, at Fredrikson Funeral Home, Ada, MN.
Burial: Ada Municipal Cemetery, Ada, MN."
