Lawrence Kohl, a resident of Olean and vicinity for sixty years, died at his home, 144 North Thirteenth Street, Sunday evening (August 23, 1942) at six-thirty o'clock. He was born September 18, 1868.
Surviving besides his widow, Barbara Geoppner Kohl, are one daughter, Mrs. Charles N. MacWilliams, Olean; three sons, Henry J. Kohl, Albert L. Kohl, Olean; Private Robert H. Kohl, Jacksonville, Fla.; and four grandchildren.
Deceased was a member of the Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church. He had been employed by the BR&P Railroad (now the B&O) for forty-three years and by the Olean Glass Company for ten years. He retired six years ago.
