David Alexander Eagleson, 87, passed away on October 3, 2013 in Naples, Florida. Born in Columbus, Ohio, David was a long term resident of Naples, Florida.

He was preceded in death by his father, Freeman T. Eagleson, his mother Jessie Neely Eagleson, brothers Thomas and Freeman, his daughter Carolyn Eagleson Engel and wife Patricia Wall.

David is survived by his sons, William Freeman (Nancy) of Blacklick, OH and David Alexander Jr. (Rosie) of Huntington Beach, CA; six grandchildren, Kristen, Will, Alexandra, Blair, Catherine and Lizzie, Step-Son Ned Wall (Camille), Son-in-law William Engel, long time companion Jeanne Boughner and extended family.

He had attended the Columbus Academy, Phillips Academy Andover and graduated from Yale University, class of 1949. While he had spent his life in real estate and property management, David had been a member of The Columbus Country Club, Naples Yacht Club, Aqualane Shores Association, The Moorings Presbyterian Church of Naples, and The Naples Historical Society. David also served in the United States Air Force.

Visitors may call 1:00-1:30 pm Tuesday, October 8, 2013 at Schoedinger Midtown Chapel, 229 E. State St., Columbus, OH 43215; where the funeral service will follow. Burial in Green Lawn Cemetery
