Death of John M. Aylward

The death of Mr. John M. Aylward of Jackson, popular and esteemed resident of Wesson and Brookhaven in his youth and early manhood,occurred in Jackson last Friday. Mr. Aylward was an employee of John McGrath & Sons during the years he and his family lived in this city. He was a son of the late Mrs. Aylward of this city and a brother of Mr. Frank Aylward of Pensacola, another former local resident. An account of his death from a Jackson paper is as follows:

John Michael Aylward, 64 passed away in a local hospital shortly after three o'clock on Friday morning, following a brief illness.

Mr. Aylward has been a resident of Jackson for the past 26 years, 11 of which he spent as head of the men's clothing department of the R. E. Kenninton & Co., and the last 15 as the travelling representative of Snelenburg Men's Clothing Co. He was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church.

The funeral was held on Saturday morning at 9:30 from St. Peter's Ccatholic Church, with Rev. Father O'Reilly officiating. Interment was made in Cedarlawn Cemetery.
