MORE on Jimmy Ray Adams (1934-2013):
At 35 years old, Jimmy Ray married the love-of-his-life, Jody (Arnold) ((Ross)) on 06-01-1969. Jimmy Ray became stepfather to Jody's son from a previous marriage, and they both became grandparents just a few months later, followed by at least 03 more grandchildren in time.

Jody's long battle with cancer, followed by her death on 08-30-1998 took its toll on Jimmy, but his faith and time made it easier to bear.

Jimmy Ray was an entrepreneur, owning several businesses, including an A&W Drive-In, a men's clothing store, and w/Jody...an upscale women's clothing store, during his life. But primarily, Jimmy Ray spent most of his time as a Church of Christ preacher. His last congregation was the Church of Christ in Watsonville, Santa Cruz Co., CA.

He loved the Pacific Ocean and the mild California climate; spending much of his free time sailing on the boat he co-owned with friend Bill, and fishing whenever he could.
