Deniece Davis Aldous, age 74, of West Valley City, Utah, passed away peacefully while surrounded by her loving family on October 5, 2013 in West Valley City, Utah.

Born April 22, 1939 in Lehi, Utah to David Elroy and Ora Almeda Gray Davis. Raised in Magna, Utah and graduated from Cyprus High School in 1957. While there, she participated on the Women's Diving Team as a Swim Timer and was a member of the Color Guard.

She married the handsome guy with the white '57 Chevy convertible, Alan Robinson Aldous, on November 14, 1958 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Together, they opened and ran the Hunter Pharmacy Drug Store while raising their young family.

Deniece had a lifetime of service in the LDS Church, holding ward and stake positions in the Primary, Young Women, and Relief Society. Her favorite was being a Visiting Teacher. She enjoyed needle work, quilting, collecting dolls, and is lovingly known as the "Sticker Grandma".

Survived by her husband, Alan; four children, Brenda (Evan) Nethercott, Lorie Johnson, Paul (Sharla) Aldous, and Carrie (Richard) Hanks; fourteen exceptional grandchildren, one precious great-grandson, brother, Elwood (Marilyn) Davis; sisters, JoAnn (Kirt) Lamb and Cleo (Merrill) Anglesey; and brother-in-law, Glen Brock. Preceded in death by parents, brother, Erland Davis; sister, Cleora Brock; and niece, Suzann Anglesey Weston.

A very special thanks to the nurses and staff at the Hunter Hollow Rocky Mountain Care Center for their kindness and exceptionally compassionate care.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 10, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in the Granger West Seventh Ward Chapel, 4460 West Cortney Drive (2800 South).
