BENIGNA R. SANDOVAL, 98, of Pecos and formerly of La Pasada, died Monday. She was born in El Macho on Jan. 28, 1904, to the late Romolo Roybal and Andreita Lucero Roybal. She was united in marriage in Pecos in 1932 to Reymundo Sandoval. A lifelong Catholic, she was a member of St. Anthony's Church in Pecos. She was preceded in death by her parents, Romolo and Andreita Roybal; husband, Reymundo Sandoval in 1959; children, Amado and Eduardo Gabaldon, Romolito Sandoval, Angelina Rodriguez and husband Fred; grandson, Valentino Sandoval; sisters, Flora, Frances, Isabel, Nemesia and Mercedes; brothers, Arculano and David Roybal; sons-in-law, Antonio Lujan and Tiburcio Sandoval. She is survived by her family, Eluteria Lujan of Pecos, Andrea Sandoval of Santa Fe, Margarita Lujan and husband Joe, Seferino Sandoval and wife Josie, Amy Gonzales and husband Marcos all of Pecos, Victoria Chavez of Los Angeles, and Sadie Quintana of Pecos; 50 grandchildren; 102 great-grandchildren; 48 great-great-grandchildren; one great-great-great-grandchild; special friend and caretaker, Manuela Enriquez of Pecos; and many other relatives and friends. Visitation and rosary for immediate family only will be at 4:30 p.m. Thursday at the El Macho Church. Rosary devotional services will be at 8 p.m. Thursday at St. Anthony's Church in Pecos.
