Funeral services for Mrs. C. J. (Dell) Hostrasser of Hearne were held at 10:30 a.m. from the chapel of Heartfield Funeral Home with the Rev. James E. Scirratt, minister of the First Baptist Church, officiating.
Burial followed in the family cemetery near Gause. Serving as pallbearers were Mack Hoyt, M. A. Derden, H. R. Baxley, Robert E. Rohde Jr., Bill Gause, E. M. McNeel, Oxshear Cobb and Robert (Jack) Boyd.
Mrs. Hostrasser passed away early Monday morning, January 27, at Little Rock, Arkansas where she had been visiting a daughter, Mrs. R. M. Morehead, and family.
She was born in Milam County to the late Mr. And Mrs. Robert Gaines Beverly but most of her lifetime was spent in Hearne. Her husband, who preceded her in death 25 years ago, was former postmaster of Hearne. Mrs. Hostrasser was a member of the First Baptist Church.
In addition to Mrs. Morehead, she is survived by another daughter, Mrs. J. W. Shannon of Petersburg, Virginia; eight grandchildren and one great grandchild."
