Robert L. Bergstresser, 84, of Quarryville Presbyterian Retirement Community, died Thursday evening at the community's convalescent unit following an illness.
He was an actuary for 20 years.
Bergstresser also did mission work in the Philippines for 20 years, after which he was a visitation minister at Brookdale Baptist Church, Bloomfield, N.J., where he had been a 50-year member.
Born in Harrisburg, he was the son of the late Ross K. and Helen Wolf Bergstresser.
He was the husband of Ella M. Newell Bergstresser.
Surviving in addition to his wife are a son, a daughter, four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and two sisters.
