Mark Roland Sellers, 52, of Fort Worth, Texas, passed away on June 14, 2013 in North Richland Hills, Texas surrounded by friends and family. He was born on December 14, 1960 in Abilene, Kansas to Roland Duane and Joyce Grace (Schmidt) Sellers. Mark was a 1979 graduate of Abilene High School. An Accomplished pianist, he was active in theater and music programs. As a senior, he was honored to be a member of the winning football team when AHS participated in the state championship game. He attended Kansas State University and throughout his life, purple remained his favorite color. As an adult, he devoted himself to serving the public by helping others. An avid reader, his passion was books, especially science fiction; movies; the Dallas Cowboys; the Texas Ranger; and the K-State Wildcats. Quite the cook, he proudly owned the title of the family grill master. He met his wife, Yvonne, while working in Taiwan and they were married on December 2, 1994 in Hurst, Texas. He is also survived by his daughter, Rachel Grace Sellers of Fort Worth, Texas; his son, Joel Matthew Brewer, wife Jessica and grandchildren Lacy and Lyndon of Salina, Kansas; sister, lea Chandler and husband Tom of Colleyville, Texas; brother, Robert Sellers and wife Jo of Eagle Mountain Lake, Texas; sister-in-law, brother-in-law, nieces and nephews of Taiwan; nephews Mark Chandler of Round Rock, Texas, Robert Sellers Jr. of Corinth, Texas; Matthew Sellers of Highland Village, Texas and Evan Sellers of Denton, Texas; mother-in-law of Taiwan; and first cousin, Jo Lynn Wagner of Salina, Kansas. Mark was proud to be one of 29 Sellers first cousins and growing up and spending time with them was a highlight of his life. Twenty-four survive him. Preceding him in death were his grandparents, Charles and Neva (Collins) Sellers and Charles and Grace (Hawk) Schmidt; parents; father-in-law of Taiwan; and nephew, Michael Owens. A celebration of Mark's life and inurnment will take place at the Abilene Cemetery 3:00 P.M. Saturday, October 12, 2013. Family and friends will gather at Ike's Bar and Grill in Abilene afterwards.
