Our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and best friend, Hope Wave Sauter, passed from this life on October 14, 2003 after a short but brave battle with cancer.

She will be missed by the many with whom she shared her love, her time, and her talents.

She came into this world February 6, 1929, Centerville, Illinois to Vertus Edwin Bixenstine, Sr. and Clara Barton Jamerson.

Hope is survived by son, Danny Mosher (Andrea), daughter Donna Jensen (Roger), brother V. Edwin Bixenstine Jr. (Anita), grandchildren, Jarrod, Cory, Grayson, Shane, Nathaniel, Vance, Jamie, Brandtly, Kristy and beloved nieces and nephews, Bart, Lisa, Belinda and Mike. Preceded in death by her parents, son Terry Mosher and nephew Kimball Bixenstine.

Hope was an accomplished musician both vocally and instrumentally. She loved her opportunities to perform in both opera and musicals. She was also a retired elementary music and classroom teacher. She taught for approximately 25 years in both the Sioux Falls, SD and Fountain Valley, CA school districts. She touched the lives of thousands of children helping them to find success either through music or academics. She also spent a number of years volunteering at Sprucewood Elementary School, specifically helping the second grade students of Nadine Terry. Hope's pride and joy were her children and grandchildren. She was always right there to help, encourage and support them in their various activities and challenges. She was a truly beloved mother and grandmother.

Funeral services will be held Friday, October 17, 2003, 11 a.m. at Larkin Sunset Gardens Mortuary, 1950 East 10600 South in Sandy. Friends and family may pay their respects Thursday, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the mortuary and one hour prior to the service.

Interment at Larkin Sunset Gardens.
