LUBBOCK- Wayne Higgins passed away Friday, Oct. 4, 2013. We will gather for fellowship and remembrance at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 19, 2013 at his daughter's home.

LUBBOCK- Family and friends of Wayne Higgins are invited to attend a memorial service from 1 to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 19, 2013 at his daughter's home, where we will enjoy barbeque, fellowship, and sharing memories of Wayne.
Alan Wayne was born on Feb. 15, 1949 in Big Spring, Texas, to Alan Lewis and Geneva Higgins. Wayne graduated from Plainview High School in 1969.
He married Belynda Smith in 1971. He was an active member of the rodeo community and farmed in Hale County with his two brothers. Later he was employed with the Department of Criminal Justice from 1994 to 2008. Wayne enjoyed the outdoors and was a great hunter. Spending time with his grandchildren was his favorite past time.
He is survived by his mother, Geneva; daughter, Kelli and husband Dr. Dennis Duriex; grandchildren, Benjamin and Marin Duriex; brother, Ross Higgins and wife Terri; nephew, Wesley Higgins and wife Laci; and two nieces, Melissa and Amy Higgins.
Wayne was preceded in death by his father; and brother, Grady Higgins.
