Fount Rainwater, 90, Baptist minister in this county for 65 years, died Wednesday night at his home at Faubush following a lingering illness. Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at the Goodhope (New Hope?) Church, the Rev. W.A. Reese officiating. Interment was in the adjoining cemetery. In addition to his ministerial work, Mr. Rainwater was a prosperous farmer and was well and favorably known throughout the county. He was a good citizen, lived a Christian life and his teachings and preachings throughout this section of the state won many to Christ. He is survived by a son and a sister.
