A memorial service for Wendell V. "Brad" Braddick, 93, of Tyler, will be held on Thursday, October 10, 2013 at 10:00 AM at Marvin United Methodist Church with Rev. Gerry Giles officiating.
Mr. Braddick passed away October 5, 2013 under the care of Hospice of East Texas. He was born May 20, 1920 in Big Spring, Tx,to Karl Hausen and Eglah Louzelle Braddick.
Brad graduated from the University of Houston in 1950 with a degree in Petroleum Engineering. He worked in the oil fields all of his life all over the world with his wife Marolyn, by his side. Brad finished his career in Tyler where he and his wife retired.
Brad was a member of Marvin United Methodist Church and a founding member of the Marvin Menders Mission Group. His many hobbies included fishing, golfing, cooking, wood crafting, leather working and he was generally an overall handy man. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Brad was preceded in death by his parents, and son Bill Braddick. He is survived by his loving family including his wife of 67 years, Marolyn Thompson Braddick of Tyler; sons, Don Braddick and wife Kay of Midland, Tx, and Gary Braddick and wife Cheryl of Birmingham, Al; siblings, Karl Braddick, Jr, Fred Braddick, Britt Braddick and wife Martha, Natalie Cato, Patsy Erdman and husband Owen and Joann Ainsworth; and by grandchildren, Matthew, Kyndal, Laura and Kyle Braddick. He first married Anniece Hayes and they had a son named Dennis Lynn Braddick, born in 1945.
