Funeral services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Cuthand United Methodist Church with Rev. John Purviance and Johnie Crumpler officiating. Burial will be in Cuthand Cemetery under the direction of Wood Funeral Home with full Masonic honors.
Dub was born August 22, 1934 near Clarksville, Tx. His parents were A.W.(Bert) Harville and Lillie McConnell Harville. He married the former Nell McAlister in 1960 in Bogata, Tx.
Dub graduated from Bogata High School in 1952 and attended the University of Texas at Austin and later graduated from the University of North Texas at Denton. He was a retired school teacher and coach, teaching one year in the Bogata school system before moving to Hurst where he taught and coached in the HEB school system, retiring from Trinity High School in Euless in 1991. He served in the U.S. Air Force in North Africa for four years. He was a memeber of Cuthand United Methodist Church, a member of Rosalie Lodge #527 AF&AM, was a 32nd degree Scottish Rite and a longtime member of the Missouri Foxtrotters Association. For the past 14 years he was the caretaker of Cuthand Cemetery.
Dub is survived by his wife, Nell Harville of Cuthand; three sons, Allan Harville of Cuthand, Kenneth Harville and wife Becky of North Richland Hills and Stan Dickerson of Hot Springs; two sisters, Elaine Baird and husband Truman of Cuthand and Gene Jett and husband Ed of Galveston; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
