"Frank Michels, for the past 22 years a resident of the Lodi district, passed away at a Stockton hospital following a brief illness, Saturday. He was a native of South Dakota, aged 52 years.
He leaves his wife, Mrs. Edith Michels, and three sons and a daughter: Donald A., Howard L., and Lester M. Michels of Lodi and Mrs. J.C. Mallory of Yuba City, California; as well as a grandson, Larry Robert Mallory.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday morning at 10 o'clock from the chapel of Wells Funeral Home with interment at Lodi Cemetery. Services will be under the auspices of Lodi Aerie No. 848 of the Eagles, of which he was a member for a number of years." Lodi News-Sentinel, January 10, 1936
