Lee Roy was the son of Logan Govane Massey and Turley Ellen Yount. He had five children: with his first wife, Rosa Fulfer: Esteline and Robert Wayne; with his third wife, Cora Jewell Davidson, they had three children: Jewell, Leroy Gavane and James. He worked in the oil fields of New Mexico, and while he never went to church, he always carried a Bible in the glove box of his Chevy truck. He was devoted to his wife and children and was well-known in their small town of Eunice, New Mexico. They are survived by their children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and are loved and greatly missed by all.
