Winburne - Richard Merrit, 69, a resident of the Clear Haven Nursing Home, Formerly of Winburne, died Sunday, Sept. 7, at 7 a.m. at Clear Haven.
Born in Winburne, Jule 16, 1911, he was the son of John and Marietta (Wertz) Merritt.
He was affiliated with the Protestant faith and was a member of the F&AM Lodge, Clearfield.
He's married to the former Hazel Law, who survives with two children, Mrs. Robert (Barbara) Klarsch, Kingston, and John L. Merritt, Woodland' three grandchildren, a brother, Harold Merritt of martins Ferry, Ohio, and a sister, Mrs. Margaret Sunderland of California.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
Services will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. at the Johnson Funeral Home Inc., Grassflat, with the Rev. Rickey Emindhizer officiating.
Interment will be in the Kylertown Cemetery.
