Services will be at 2:00 PM on Saturday, October 5, 2013 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jim Sliger officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
Mr. Hugg was born on January 19, 1921 in Strawberry, Arkansas.
Mr. Hugg served in the United States Navy Seabees 47th Battalion during WWII in the Solomon Islands. He did his undergraduate at West Texas State University and then received his masters from Stephen F. Austin. Herman was an art teacher at South Park High School in Beaumont. He was a member of the Art League of Beaumont and was a well know artist.
He was preceded in death by his wife Minnie Beth Hugg, a son Mark Hugg and his parents, Edgar and Telia Massey Hugg.
Survivors include his son Michael Hugg and his wife Debbie; a grandson, Joshua Hugg and Michelle; a granddaughter, Jessica ONeill and her husband Greg and one great grandson.
