Hilva Johnson Christensen, 84, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, passed away peacefully, December 30, 1993 at her home.

Born April 19, 1909 in Logan, Utah, the daughter of Joseph and Lureeta Banks Johnson. Married Adrian Bodily Christensen, December 28, 1936 in Bancroft, Idaho. Marriage later solemnized April 19, 1950 in the Logan LDS Temple. Active member of the LDS Church.

Volunteered for many years at the LDS Hospital where she had been an employee until retirement. Member U of U Mother's Club and DUP. She also volunteered at the DUP Museum. She loved her rose garden. She has many friends and was loved by all who knew her. Her home was always open to everyone and you couldn't get through the threshold without having a sampling of her heavenly tasting cooking.

Survivors: Husband; children, Adrian and Lisa Christensen, Norma Kay and John Page, Ann C. and John Larson, Jeanne Christensen, Ruth Christensen and Reed and Bobi Christensen; brother, William F. Johnson; 19 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by brothers and sisters, Norma J. Nelson, J. Lewis Johnson, Albert F. Johnson, Chris Johnson, Lorraine J. Hobbs and Lois Jean J. Ward.

Funeral services Monday, January 3, 1994, 12 noon, Douglas Ward Chapel, 721 South 1200 East. Friends may call at Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple, Sunday, 6-8 p.m. and at the church Monday, one hour prior to the service. Interment, Larkin Sunset Gardens.
