Hazleton Standard Speaker; Tuesday, July 10, 1973:
Mrs. Anna Palahniuk, 433 Lattimer Mines, died Monday at 3:20 p.m. at the St. Joseph Hospital where she had been a patient the past 5 weeks. She was born in Austria, a daughter of the late Sanarko and Justina (Buczynksi) Gramiak, and had resided in Lattimer Mines the past 60 years. She was a member of St. Michael's Ukrainian Catholic Church.

Preceding her in death were her husband John and a daughter, Olga. Surviving are the following children: Mrs. Louis (Mary) Wierson, Woodside, L.I., N.Y.; Mrs. William (Ann) Duspiva, Hazleton; Walter Jack, Drums; Leon, Hazleton; John Jr., Rome, Italy. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be held Thursday at 8:30 a.m. from the Frank J. Bonin Funeral Home, Second Street entrance. Requiem high mass in St. Michael's Ukrainian Catholic Church at 9 a.m. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Rev. Stephen P. Shymansky will conduct a prayer service Wednesday at 7:30 p.m.
